As is known, Carragher announced his retirement plans this weekend, and although still want to see action in the next season Carra, Gerrard assess all parties should respect his decision.
“I know him a little longer than the other players. I tried so hard to be like others make it last longer,” said Gerrard told Liverpoolfc.com.
“But we have to respect his decision. He had a fantastic career and he felt this was the right time to come out, at the end of the season.“
“I hope there is still a great performance in pertandinga before he left.“
“People call him with players like Hansen and Lawrenson, best defenders this club has ever had.“
“To me, if he is not on par with them then he is a bit taller than them. That’s the highest compliment I can I say to him.“
“He’s an incredible player, at the peak of its performance, for two or three seasons, he was one of the best defenders in the world.“
