Daniel Sturridge not entirely given up hope to play in the European Champions League next season, although Liverpool are currently in mid-table Premier League.
Until this week, Liverpool behind nine points from Tottenham Hotspur, residents ranked fourth in the Premier League standings with 45 points.
Against West Bromwich Albion in the next game, Sturridge was hoping to win to pave the way to play in the Champions League next season.
“We will stay together and preparing for the next game, against West Brom, which is a big game for us because they are also competing for a place in the top flight,” said Sturridge, Wednesday (6/2).
“We are behind nine points from the lower limit of the zone occupants Champions, so the distance between us is not too large to be pursued and passed, so hopefully we can do it. Believe we can,” he said.
